Partner cooperatives :

Peru: Initially founded in 1999 by 220 small producers in the northern Cajamarca region of Peru, the Cooperativa Cenfrocafe now has more than 3000 member-families (altitude 1000-1900m). Its members benefit from technical assistance to optimize the quality of their coffees and the productivity of their farms through environmentally friendly practices. The Cooperative also provides financing to its producers, as well as economic and entrepreneurial training for the youth of their rural communities.

Guatemala: The Cooperativa Agricola Integral La Esperancita in the San Marcos region (average altitude 1400-1800m) is one of 148 members of the Federation of Coffee Cooperatives of Guatemala (Fedecocagua). Its members own an average of 1.32 hectares of land per family and produce excellent coffees thanks to the extreme mineral richness of the volcanic soil on which their farms are located. By joining the cooperative, the producers benefit from commercial, technical, agronomic, social and financial support.

Colombia: ANEI is an organization of agro-ecological producers in northern Colombia (Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Serrania de Perija) created in 1995 by Aurora Izquierdo, an indigenous woman from the Yewrwa community. Aurora used coffee as a tool to promote the culture of her community and to ensure social and economic rights. ANEI’s 700 indigenous families practice eco-responsible agriculture to preserve natural resources and produce excellent coffee.

Honduras: The Cooperativa de Productores de Café La Encarnaciòn Limitada (COPROCAEL) was created in 2000 in the north of the country in the department of Ocotepeque (altitude 1100-1750m), with the aim of commercializing the coffee of the producers (mostly small-scale) of the region. In addition to an opening to international markets, its 217 member-families benefit from financing for the maintenance of their farms, the education of their children and the improvement of the infrastructure.
